I did it. I did an altered art project. It was so fun! I printed it on sticker paper and applied it to the cover of a sketch book I bought. The inside paper has such a great texture, I thought it would be fun to print on it when I do each inspiration page and then I will rebind the book. Can’t wait to see how this ends up!

Toot! Toot!
I get to toot! I’m so excited! I got a call from Scrapbook Answers Magazine this evening while I was out to dinner with my dh. I almost didn’t answer the call because my cell battery was almost dead. However, I sure am glad I did. I won the “Before and After” April Scrapbook Answers Disc Challenge! Did I say I am excited. I couldn’t even call anyone until I got home because of my near-dead phone! I kept saying, “I won!” over and over at dinner. At least my dh was kind enough to get a little excited with me! You know how that is!
You can look for my layout in the June issue! Can’t wait!

Check out Michelle Coleman’s latest challenge at her blog at My Second Mile. She has a color challenge based on her reading up about color and what it can mean. On the left is a scrumptious paper pack she did that you can find in the ScrapArtist Shoppe. For the challenge, layouts are to be uploaded to the gallery at ScrapArtist by Sunday night, April 23, and the top 3 layouts will get a $10 Gift Certificate to the ScrapArtist Shoppe – what a great prize! And don’t forget, everyone who participates get a special freebie, and Michelle’s freebies are the best!

Mancala, anyone?

I found the funnest game! Probably because my dh and I like to play strategy games and maybe because I keep winning! Hee hee!
You take this solid wood game board and glass marble-like pieces. And because of the rules of the game, it creates a wonderful strategy where sometimes you still can’t even guess the outcome. What’s even more fun is that once you know the rules, all you need is some sand or dirt to make holes and some little rocks and voila! you have a game!
Well, you’ll have to look for this. I just happened to find it in the game section of my grocery store. It’s by Fundex Games.
